I was raised by two entrepreneurs who delighted in creating wealth through honest work and jovial human connection.
While practicing law in Washington DC, first in a large international firm and then a small non-profit, I fell in love with mindfulness and meditation.
I left my established career track to become a nun at a Zen Buddhist monastery in France so I could train in mindfulness 24/7 and support others in the practice. For me, mindfulness truly is something – as my teacher the Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh famously says – miraculous. After fourteen years as a nun I’ve come back to walk this enlivening path as a layperson.
If there is a single thread running through these diverse formative experiences, it’s the joy of serving others and taking good care of oneself at the same time.
I am here to spark & nurture joy, care, and insight in you.
